Eight Decades of Stories and Successes:
The Journey of Sakura
Over eight decades, many successful chapters have been written. Discover some details of Sakura's journey and understand why this story is, in a way, yours too.

Sakura's journey began in 1940, led by Mr. Suekichi Nakaya, a Japanese immigrant who arrived in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century. From the start, the company stood out for its production of soy sauce (shoyu) and soybean paste (miso), two traditional Japanese culinary foods that, over time, have become essential items on Brazilian tables.

Currently, in addition to its renowned shoyu, characterized by its distinctive flavor, SAKURA, with its various brands, offers more than 300 products in its line and is present in over 100,000 points of sale.
Did you know that some of these products are exclusive to SAKURA?
This is due to our constant investment in technology, equipment, and the development of new products. Our goal is to provide unique experiences with intense flavors and unforgettable aromas, thus earning your trust and a special place in your kitchen with quality and safe food.

Therefore, by choosing a SAKURA product, you not only reinforce your preference, but also contribute to building a history of success, tradition, and innovation.
Constant innovation
SAKURA is the only company in the world to ferment soybeans and corn on an industrial scale, and has a history of pioneering innovation. A notable example is Kin, which is part of our Sakura Origens® brand. Kin is a premium soy sauce with a pronounced flavor and aroma, free of chemical additives. This innovation results from a unique manufacturing method that makes production more efficient and reduces the consumption of natural resources, benefiting both the environment and producers and consumers.
